It is with great sadness to announce the passing of one of our own. Matt Wasielewski, the host of “Matt’s Polka Party” has died.
Matt was an accomplished musician, bandleader, vocalist, songwriter, composer, radio disc jockey and IJ, promoter, record distributor and was inducted into the IPA Polka Hall Of Fame in 1998. He will be greatly missed.
All of us at The Polka Jammer Network extend our condolences to his right hand Vi, their son Todd and their entire family.
All services for Matt were held privately by the family.

For years every Wednesday I would put my supper on my computer desk and prepare to listen to Matt and Vi. Today as I turned to the Polka Jammer to hear the show I was stunned to read of the passing of Matt. Listening to Matt and Vi was a habit of mine. I love the sound of Matt and Bud H. There will be something missing on Wednesdays for me. Thank goodness for cassettes and cd’s. VI, unless you stay on the air I will miss you. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
