Sundays With Stras Returns May 3

He’s back on the air.

After a six-month hiatus, Chicago’s Polka Impresario Keith Stras returns to broadcasting with the comeback of “Sundays with Stras,” streaming live on the Polka Jammer Network this Sunday, May 3, 7:00–9:00 PM ET (6:00–8:00 PM CT).

This return also marks the beginning of his 50th year in polka broadcasting. From his early start in 1976 at age 15 alongside Li’l Richard Towalski on WONX 1590 AM, to a distinguished career that includes induction into the Polka Hall of Fame (1999), the Broadcasters Hall of Fame (2005), and Emmy Award-winning television work, Stras continues to be a leading figure in the industry. Today, he also fronts Keith Stras & Polka Confetti, Chicago’s #1 honky polka band.

This Sunday’s program will feature a special look back at the sounds of 1976, along with stories and memories from five decades in broadcasting.

Keith says it best, “I’m looking forward to settling back in behind the WPJN microphone and reconnecting with all of you.”
