On Hiatus

Marty Swiatek– Started playing the trumpet at age 13. My greatest influence was when I went to my first jazz concert at the Klein Memorial Feb 2,1976 and heard a trumpet player that would be my idol for Life…The GREAT Maynard Ferguson. I had my own band for 12yrs “Bright Sound Express, then took over the Rich Bobinski Orchestra after Rich’s passing for 10 years, then after a brief hiatus started my new band Back on Track. I started doing the radio DJ spot with Teri 3 years ago.

Teri Arensman– My mom introduced me to the Polka field at a very young age. I was hooked on Polkas and attended every dance and festival. I was very active in the Polish Club in Poughkeepsie and Hibernia Road. I performed in two Polish Dance Groups for over 10 years and was the Hudson Valley Polish Queen in my late teen years. I started doing the Polka Rascal show with John Sagan over 26 years ago and after John left the radio station to pursue his Travel Business. I continued with Mike Skok for the past 23 years as Co-Host on WVKR Polka Rascal Show every Saturday morning.
